Danny Vo Ms. Alexandria Lockett Principles of English Composition II 27 April 2007  Page 165-166, 173 |  Homework 1. The core argument for this ad is that ecstasy is not harmless and actually has some very  negative consequences. The view of the drug is a negative view—that drugs are bad,  promoting against drug use. Both ads are similar in the sense that they both are providing  information about the drug that people need to know to persuade the reader against it.  On the other hand, they’re different in the sense that one is more catchy, while the other  is more just a document. 2. The ads are very different when it comes to the type and layout. The first ad uses catchy  fonts that will grab someone’s attention, while the other uses a generic font with more text  that is not as catchy, but more informative. 3.
