2UNIT 2 SELF REFLECTION ASSIGNMENTWhen we overlook my childhood and how the connections with home, school, andcommunity come into play over the years, I would say it was definitely harsh and there werehardly ever any connections. I personally feel my parents never tried hard to coparent togetherresulting in myself and my siblings living a suffering childhood. My childhood was absolutelyrough. I moved to many schools throughout my childhood.Through moving through many schools and reviewing the Beyond the BakeSale checklist: “4 Versions of Family-School Partnerships”, I can say most of the elementaryschools I attended were an “Come-if-We-Call” school. When we look at the “Come-if-We-Call”schools, they love the idea of parents being associated with their student’s success andachievements in school but are only welcome when staff or faculty of the school ask them to bethere. This partnership encourages parents to mainly help their kids at home.
