The World AIDS Campaign was launched five years ago by the United Nations in an attempt to help educate on AIDS prevention, provide treatment for those infected, and continue the search for a cure. The anniversary of this coalition to fight AIDS, also known as World AIDS Day serves as recognition of the disease, in hopes of sparking support, enthusiasm, and commitment in the ongoing struggle.
