We are already seeing some evidence of this happen, in a lot of grocery stores they use a good amount of self-checkouts, which eliminates the need for a cashier. As times change, people are going to want everything faster, and self-service technology eliminates any need for an intermediary, which is going to make things a lot faster and more convenient for people. 2. Maybe an improvement in anti-spyware technology, for example, a piece of software that would automatically do a check for any threats immediately when you start up your computer everyday, it’s not optional, it has to happen. 3. One operational feature I’d find to be most important above any other is that the “digital salesclerk” should have the ability to answer any and every question the consumer has. The more the consumer knows about the technology its using, chances are the more they are going to be satisfied with the overall experience. 5. I’d only see ethical issues coming into play if the technology was ever introduced into other countries where they have a different set of values and morals than we do, and because of that they might not accept it as freely as we would....
