So I was chill’n with my friends watching a soccer game, when out of no where my friend Louis, was like “bro’s, what is the Dao in Daoism and how does it compare to the Brahman in Hinduism?” After looking at him as if he were on crack and having remembered my Religion 107 class and reading the class book like the Bible, I answered him with the following. Well bro, there was this ancient China man named Lao Tzu, who founded Taoism or Daoism, you know Tomato, Tamahto, whatever works. Hinduism on the other hand got its ups on from this ancient Vedic civilization, don’t ask me that’s what the book for class said. Anyways, Lao Tzu wrote the Tao Te Ching kinda like their Bible, but like a variety bin at Wal-mart with different goods in it. Like any good book, you have to have a character, and the Tao Te Ching’s is the Dao. However, dudes the Dao is like God, but not God, all China man like that for you.
