So Young Lyu due 12/07/07 <<Causes for Changes in Weather and Climate>> Weather is defined as the state of the atmosphere at some place and time, in terms of temperature, humidity, cloudiness, precipitation and wind speed. On the other hand, climate is weather conditions at some locality averaged over a specified time period. (Moran, Weather Studies) Most people confuse these two words and use them interchangeably but they are two distinct words in weather studies. Many people also know that global warming is going on and all inhabitants, including animals, plants, and humans, and seasons are affected by the global warming. Then what is actually controlling and influencing the change in climate behind the scenes? What about changes in weather? Weather develops and occurs mostly in troposphere, the lowest atmosphere of the Earth and sometimes in stratosphere. Sun is the prime source of energy and is the core of change in weather and weather can change from hour to hour and from day to day. It all depends on
