Journalism Feature Story 2 3/13/08 Is a Graduate Degree a Wise Decision? It has become quite clear through my four years of schooling at Providence College that seniors believe their education is beneficial. According to Providence College’s official website “PC’s 85% average graduation rate is the second highest among 574 master’s level universities nationwide.” Do seniors see more schooling necessary? Many students in social science and business fields alike believe so. Many social scientists need to continue to graduate school to achieve higher success in their area of study. Many who plan to teach on a college level find it imperative. Through out my learning within the Political Science field, it has become rare to learn from a professor who does not go by Dr. But what about other areas of study? Is it now necessary to gain an MBA to separate yourself from the thousands or even millions of other business men and women in this nation? It’s debatable. Through my personal job search, I have discovered that for many entry to mid level jobs
