Erin Hammond English 1102 Dr. Klein April 6, 2005 Don’t Speak “Boy, I wish you would shut up.” These are the words that changed my life forever. Who would have thought seven little words would have such an impact on your life. I for sure didn’t. To begin with my mother and father are divorced and I live with my mother, the control freak. I haven’t seen my father in years and I don’t care to either. I am the only child and I wish I had a sibling so I wouldn’t have to put up with all of this by myself. Like I told you my mom is a control freak and I hate it. I am tired of putting up with the same thing over and over again. Everyday it is the same fight and boy do we fight constantly. I am sick and tired of it. It has to change. To me it just seems as though my mother is trying to live her life through me. Don’t get me wrong or anything, I love my mother but I can’t change the past for her. Speaking of the past, my mom had to drop out of high school when she was 15 years old. Her mother came down with a really bad illness and she had to support her younger brother and sister. My mother never got the chance to go back to school, so she is doing it through me. Well, that’s what it seems
