According to my opinion, what Epstein meant by this is that, it is important to include
community in school activities in order to fully gather for the needs of the children. This include
including families of the children to take on some roles in the school. The reason why schools,
families and communities need to work together is to ensure that the child(student) gets all the
support needed to succeed both in and at home. Working together indicates to student that he/she
is cared for within the community and that all his/her rights are protected.
