An individual driving onto the Rose-Hulman campus via the main entrance must make a decision; he/she must either turn left toward the dorms, turn right toward Myers and Moench Halls, or go straight into the roundabout in front of Hadley Hall. Let L denote the event that a car turns left, R denote the event that a car turns right, and S denote the event that a car goes straight. The behaviour of three randomly selected cars driving onto the Rose-Hulman campus is recorded. Assumption: n=3is what is ment (a) [0.5 pts] How many events comprise the sample space for this experiment? Sample space= ( possible outcome 1)*(possible outcome 2)*(possible outcome 3)=3*3*3=27 Sample space is usually labled S but as you took that up for the problem I could not use it. List the set of outcomes that comprise the event A . A={LRS, LSR, SLR, SRL, RLS, RSL} (c) [1 pt] Assume that it is known from historical data that 50% of the cars entering campus turn left, 40% turn right, and 10% go straight. Use this information to find the probability that event A occurs.
