Vignette: The Case of Eddie The Client Eddie is a young adolescent who has mild retardation. Eddie has significant peer relation issues. He lacks the social skills to deal with being picked on and made fun of by his peers. Eddie has poor self-esteem, gets frustrated easily, and reacts with occasional temper outburst. Good rapport has been developed with Eddie and he is making progress toward the therapy goals. Eddie’s parents report they can see improvments with him. Eddie’s mom has the insurance that covers Eddie’s treatment, however, she has been laid off recently. Eddie’s dad who is a bricklayer has made an offer to build a planter in front of your office in exchange for Eddie to be able to continue treatment. ACA Decision making model The Problem
