Lab 8 Part 1 1. Using the weather station data on Map 1, produce a series of graphs that show weather conditions along the transect labeled A-A’. Distance should be plotted on the x- axis. You should plot the following as the dependent variable (y-axis): air temperature, dew point temperature, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and sky cover. You may plot more than one variable on each graph if you wish, but you will require at least three graphs for the results to be understandable. Wind direction should be plotted using vectors, which cannot (to my knowledge) be done in Excel. You may have to use a computer-drawing tool, or plot the vectors by hand. Use all weather stations that are “reasonably close” to the transect. 2. Do the observed trends in the variables you plotted conform to the model of a classic mid-latitude as presented in the lectures and in the textbook? If not, discuss the differences. 3. Using the data from Map Series 2, plot the same dependent variables as in Question
