Given that he is using a windows based PC, I would first ask the user if he is connected toEthernet or Wi-Fi. If Ethernet, I would ask if he can see the link lights on in the NIC. I wouldask the user to press the Windows key + X and select settings. Then go to the network &Internet and click network troubleshoot. After the user would follow the instructions on thescreen it would tell us what the issue is possibly with the computer not connecting. My nextstep would be to tell the user to press Windows key + R to open up the run command, andtype it ncpa.cpl and click ok. He would then right click on the active network adapter(Ethernet/wireless) and click properties. After he would double click on internet protocolversion 4 and make sure, obtain an IP address and DNS server address automatically isselected. If he is still having issues he would then I would recommend him resetting hisnetwork, which would clear any DNS information on the PC. He would go to CMD(command Prompt) type in the following commands, netsh int ip reset, press enter; netshipconfig /release, press enter; netsh ipconfig /renew, press enter; netsh ipconfig /flushdns,
