CHAPTER 7: PHOTOSYNTHESIS o photosynthesis o the experiment with the light bulbs (the effect of light intensity on photosynthesis) o calculate the V of oxygen produced (ml/min) or total sugar production (molecules/hour) o paper chromatography o 4 pigments and their R f values o apsorption spectra of chloroplast pigments (especially chl a and chl b ) o Beer-Lambert’s law – calculation of unknown concentration CHAPTER 8: CIRCULATORY SYSTEM o heart parts o two circulatory systems and how blood circulates through the heart (oxygenated and deoxygenated blood) o blood pressure – how we measured it o Korotkoff sounds o blood pressure calculations (systolic, diastolic, pulse and mean pressure) o 3 types of muscle tissue (slide) CHAPTER 10: ELISA TECHNIQUE and BLOOD TYPING o ELISA (know the basis of direct and indirect technique)
