Objective: The objective of this experiment is to determine the moment of inertia of different object that have different mass distributions, thus investigating the internal factors present during the rotation of an object. Procedure: To start the experiment build the apparatus as it is in the diagram. Double check the string to guarantee it is on the pulley while the experiment takes place. There will be three different parts to this experiment, for each part paper clips will hang on the string, this should cause the rotating holder to rotate at a constant speed. For each section of the experiment the amount of paper clips will change. By adding the paper clips to the string and giving the holder a nudge it can be determined if the holder is maintaining a constant speed. If the holder begins to move without a slight nudge, then there are to many paper clips attached. This small error will cause the holder to accelerate. If the holder comes to a complete stop then there are not enough paper clips. The friction will cause an error in the experiment
