1648- Westphalia. armies were forbidden from pillaging villages and living off the land of others. wars were ended by peace agreements. No occupations were nessacary. 1756-1763- 7 years war (French/Indian war), perhaps the first WW? 1789- Declaration of the Rights of man, french revolution begins on 14.juli 1795-1800- Napoleon is rather greedy (shock). Tries to become friends with Germany because it isn't really worth that much as a conquering prize. 1798- Marengo battle where Napoleon tries to conquer Austria 1799- Napoleon's army gets sent to Egypt, the Rosetta stone is discovered, hence hyroglyph translating etc. 1806- Napoleon finally beats Austria

King of Prussia (Bismarck) gets German states unified against France....
