Monday February 11 International Org NATO – Nato not doing their part in afghanistan and their alliance there is in danger. It is becoming a hotbed for terrorists. Northwestern part of Pakistan and Afghanistan and where recruitment is key for alqaida and Taliban. Cells are active in Europe and can be a threat to the EU and US. Intern Org are not much help to countries that are trying to deal with the problem, CIA might covert operations in Pakistan to get alqaida but Pakistan says no and no one wants to go into the hills of northwestern Pakistan. Threat comes from non state actors and don’t now how to deal with it. Gates wants nato to be involve and send more troops. Nato countries do not want to fight wars and EU has become pacifist and it fought so many wars that it is sick of fighting. One argument. Another threat is cyber terrorism – hacking and are more sophisticated than nato personnel. Western sudan – there is a AU – UN force 20,000 troops to protect the people of Darfur
