Hidalgo 1 Ana Hidalgo Professor Brown Religion 2300 3 September 2016 "Comparing and Contrasting Roman Catholicism and Protestantism Christianity" Have you ever wondered the differences and the similarities do the Roman Catholicism and Protestantism Christianity have? In these following paragraphs, you will know what they have in common and where they differ. Catholicism and Protestantism are two very different beliefs systems. We will first show you the Roman Catholic Church and then compare it to the Protestant Church.Although they both share one of much common grounds with each other's faith. However, in the protestant church, it is not used. When it comes to the church authority, the Catholic Church believes it should be given to the pope. However, the protestant church denies the authority of the pope. When Catholic Church and the protestant church is ever asked if they believe in god they reply with that they believe that there is only one God and that he has revealed himself as the Trinity. When questions arise from the birth of Jesus, the Catholic Church and protestant church reply with the belief in the virgin birth. As for the status of Adam the Catholic Church and the protestant, the church believes that Sin came into the world, through Adam.
