Most everyone has heard of William Shakespeare. He was an English poet and playwright. Hewas born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire on April 26, 1564 to John and MaryShakespeare. John Shakespeare was a businessman and his mother was the daughter of a wealthylandowner. When William was a boy, his father ran into some financial trouble. Because of thisthere has been some speculation about William Shakespeare’s education. On one hand, peoplebelieve that because of his family’s affluent financial status, during William’s Early years, it isassumed that William Shakespeare was educated at the King’s New School in Stratford.Although once his father ran into financial trouble, William would, most likely, no longer be inschool. On the other hand, even with their financial status, both John and Mary Shakespearewere illiterate. Many Shakespearians like to believe that William was also illiterate. However, atthe age of eighteen, he married Anne Hathaway, a 26 year old, who was born and raised justoutside of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. After about 3 years of marriage to AnnHathaway, they had the first of three children. Their first child Suzanne, and then twins namedHamnet and Judith. After the birth of his children, there was little public record about WilliamShakespeare, until he started performing on stage in London around 1592. This is about the timethat William Shakespeare’s career started to gain traction. Although, these were consideredShakespeare’s “lost years” in which there was no record of his whereabouts or life.His historical trail resurfaced in London when he began acting. But the records of his earlycareer in London are scarce, due in part to the fact that a lot of theaters during that time got shutdown because of lack of demand. It is believed that it is during this time that Shakespeare wrotesome of his greatest poems and plays. Eventually, he became the part owner and actor of anacting company called the Lord Chamberlain’s Men eventually referred to as “The Kings Men”.The Kings Men were founded under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, and often preformed
