Dr. Emmert POSC 1023 14 November 2006 Problem Set 3A 1A. Negative components are excess of CO 2 , CO, humidity, ammonia, dust, and other contaminants. Positive components are ventilation, air flow, and some moisture. Moisture and ammonia build up are the hardest components to control. 1B.Air quality may be related to litter moisture because warm air pulls the moisture out of the litter more so than cool air. The more moisture in the litter, the more likely it is that ammonia will build up and pollute the air. 1C. The quality of air is related to the time of year because of environmental conditions.
