Introduction
Strategic management's approach to sustainability focuses largely on the elements
that influence how sustainability issues connect with business operations. It primarily
signifies that the firm's influence is aligned with the three pillars of environmental
sustainability: society, economics, and environment. A primary focus of the above
practises is the multifaceted work done by firms to promote competitive advantages
while also addressing the critical role that human activity plays in improving
environmental and social factors. Strategic Management and sustainability have
been examined using Amazon as a case study in the United States. It is a
technologically focused company that specialises in managing a wide range of
applications, from cloud computing to artificial intelligence to e-commerce to real-
time data streaming. It all began in a Bellevue garage in 1994.
Jeff Bezos is the company's founder and although it began as an "online bookshop,"
it swiftly grew to sell a wide range of things, including furniture, food, software,
fashion, and jewellery, in addition to books. Following the launch of the Amazon
marketplace in 2000, it was made public for the first time in 1997. Amazon Web
Services (AWS) was added in 2002, and in 2006, the "Simple Storage Services (3S)"
and "Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)" were also added. Following its inception in 2011,
AI, cloud computing, and self-driving cars have subsequently been added to the
platform. As part of its long-term innovation plans, it will use "Zero Carbon Content"
methods to supply services that are environmentally friendly and hence compliant
with the principles of sustainable development.

Impact of Pandemic on Sustainable Development on The Amazon
The United Nations (UN) created the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" in
order to achieve the Sustainable Development objectives (SDGs) (Liang et. Al.,
2022). Covid 19 Pandemic will have a significant influence on worldwide sustainable
development goals like as SDG3 (Health and well-being), SDG8 (Economic growth
and work), SDG13 (climate action), SDG4 (Quality education) and SDG12
(Production and consumption) if it emerges, according to this perspective.
Sustainable development objectives such as SDG11, SDG9, and SDG17 are all
interconnected, as is SDG10, which focuses on reducing inequalities and fostering
innovation and infrastructure (Arcese & Traverso, 2021). "Covid 19" pandemic crisis
has had a long-lasting, broad and ambiguous influence on the human community in
this regard (Karmaker et. Al., 2021). The SDG practises have been introduced as a
transformational global measure targeted toward promoting development and
improving sustainability, with a focus on financing the creation of sustainable
initiatives. As a result of the lockdown measures imposed in response to the Covid
19 outbreak, movement has been significantly hampered, resulting in huge economic
and human consequences (Obrenovic et. Al., 2020).
