To make accounting sexy, the four largest accounting firms were ranked all within the top 11 spots on BusinessWeek's second annual ranking of the best companies for new college graduates. These four companies Deloitte & Touche, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and KPMG are doing more than ever before to recruit the 'Gen Y's' for their company. 2. The article describes the 'Gen Y's' as, "the 78 million born between 1982 and 2000 who began entering the workforce three years ago." The article goes on to describe us as, "praised and coddled" as people and as employees we demand work that is vital to the companies success, get feedback relevant to the work done, and a seat at the table. I find this description to be only partially true. I believe that as a generation we have been pushed harder than any one before us, and when the work has been completed in a timely and successful manner, then we are rewarded or "coddled" as the article states.
