Script for Video Project Each living thing has millions and millions of genes that make it up, each one defining a specific aspect of their physical or personal traits. All of the genes make up a genome and are present in DNA. Gene therapy is the insertion or modification of genes in a living thing to cure a disease. It is also part of a larger emerging field in science called genetic engineering, which includes the modification of genes in individuals, animals and plants to alter individual characteristics.
