Calculus, early transcendentals, single variable, 8th ed (by Howard
Anton, Irl Bivens and Stephen Davis)
Continuation of MATH 1300. Topics include transcendental
functions, methods of integration, polar coordinates, conic
sections, improper integrals, and infinite series. Prereq., Calculus
1. Credit not granted for this course and MATH 1320 or APPM
1360. We intend to cover sections 6.9, 7.4, 7.9, 8.2-8.6, 8.8, 9.1,
9.4, chapter 10, and sections 11.1-11.5 of the book.
Your grade will be computed from:
Homeworks: 10% of final grade;
Tuesday quizzes: 5% of final grade;
Three Midterms: 20% of final grade each;
Final Exam: 25% of final grade.
