SBUS 199 – March 8, 2007 SBJ – MLB Ticket Sales MLB is pursuing its fourth consecutive overall attendance record in  2007 The total league-wide attendance in 2006 was 76.04 million Full and partial season ticket sales are winding down for most teams  and some early returns have reached historic levels Large market clubs in New York, LA and Chicago are doing particularly  well Most MLB clubs will begin selling individual game tickets this weekend Yankees will lead the league again with more than 34,300 season  ticket equivalents sold Defending World Series champs St Louis have renewed 98% of their  season tickets for this year Mid-market teams are also showing early gains such as Philly, Toronto,  Milwaukee, Texas and San Francisco The final MLB total for 2007 will depend in large measure on how well  the bottom half of the teams perform The Seattle Mariners may have their 5 th  straight annual attendance  decline

SBUS 199 – March 8, 2007 SBJ – Alyssa Milano’s MLB Apparel Line MLB is putting marketing efforts behind a new line of licensed  casual wear for women designed by actress Alyssa Milano Concessionaires will sell the new line in 11 ballparks this  season and will also make the apparel available from outside  retailers
