It involves careful consideration of experimental design in making conclusions about a set of data obtained by the experiment. Be thoughtful about this – articulate your thoughts to members of your lab or case study group and TA. II. VOCABULARY Stimulant, action potential, agonist, antagonist Tobacco, nicotine, acetylcholine receptor, CYP2A6 Caffeine, adenosine, adenosine receptor, theobromine, theophylline, xanthine Cocaine, dopamine recycling transporter Vasoconstriction, cardiovascular, bronchodilator, tachycardia (heart rate) blood pressure (hypertension) Tolerance, dependence, addiction III. Stimulants – nicotine, caffeine, and cocaine A. Start a list of all the drugs that fall into the stimulant category. What do they have in common? Your answer should include one thought that relates to why they are categorized as stimulants
