T5 DQ1-2Evidence Based Practice in the Acute Care SettingDissemination of evidence-based processes or practice refers to the targeted distributionof intervention materials and information to a particular audience in the clinical or public healthsettings. According to Choi (2005), it is intended to spread knowledge about a specific evidence-based intervention, enhance its application, and improve patient outcomes. In my workplace, thedissemination of information on the implementation of an evidence-based practice improvementproject involves positive engagements with key stakeholders involved. The aim is to enhanceawareness and understanding among the targeted audience and motivate them to implement theproject in the workplace. In most cases, the hospital board serves as the internal method ofdisseminating evidence-based practice. A face-to-face approach helps to facilitate interactionamong nurses and physicians. Through this method, instant feedback is obtained.
