In the rapid changing environment, we should continuously find out opportunities and set up strategies for future, no matter to expand the current market or to explore new market opportunities. For the current market In the maturity / decline stage of the product life cycle, we may conduct market research on customer’s needs and unmet wants through surveys, internet / telephone interviews, and questionnaires on usage and find out: (1) If the current / past customers need a new piano (2) If they raise their expectation and requirement on quality, size of pianos, or other aspects so that we can come up with new ideas on production For the potential market We can use market research to find out: (1) Besides US, other countries may have other trends, e.g. increasing usage of electronic pianos. We may want to find out what’s going on and what other countries needs. These may bring us new ideas.
