Module 4: Pipetting Card PracticeBy: Ishan PereraSeptember 17, 2021*This experiment has been tailored with approval from Dr. Lee, no graphing is needed*Introduction:Why?: Precision is extremely important in scientific acquisition and research to reducethe spread and variability of data and ensure more accurate results. What? Micropipetting is a fundamental skill that is utilized in most labs this semester. This practice will teach us with the proper usage of a micropipette as well as familiarizeus with viscosity and different behaviors of liquids when properly micropipetteHypothesis/Benchmark: I believe that more viscous liquids will take more time to piettebut will be easier to fill inside of a pipetting card circle due to molecular binding.ObjectiveThe objective is to use a micropipette and utilize this technique within a serial dilution.MaterialsAll necessary PPE was deployed before initiating this experiment and for the rest of theexperiment examined in the ELN. Aseptic techniques were also utilized.
