Reddish 1Rosie ReddishMr.ChildresENG-111-OJI36 June 2022Fourth GradeI was not the least bit interested in reading or writing when I was in elementaryschool, but as I got older, reading and writing became easier. I found myself seeking tobecome a better writer and wanting to read every book I found interesting.Fourth grade year was the first time I had to write an essay. This was not anordinary essay either, the teacher was going to present it to the class. Because of this, Igot nervous and had no idea where to begin. The assignment instructions were to write anarrative about something important that happened in my life. After going overeverything I could write about in my head, I decided to write about when I got adopted. This topic was easy since it happened two years prior, and it excited me to share my storywith the class. As I started writing, I realized that I struggled with spelling. This caused me tobecome very frustrated and want to give up. Luckily, my teacher, at the time, was notgoing to let that happen. He worked extra hard to help me learn how to sound out wordsand spell them. Because of this, I began to have hope and started working on my essay
