PHY 205 Sections II Lab: 2 September 6, 05 Simple Pendulum Bijaya Singh Thapa Abstract: For the first part of this experiment we suspend the mass on rope and mark point just below the mass. And we drag the mass just 15 degree from the point where it hangs to the axis where we mark. Then we just leave the mass, and then it started moving like pendulum. We count the time for each mass to pass the marked point 20 times. We also decrease the length of the rope and did the same process. We got different point. We determined the time for each mass to cross across the point we set. Then from the reading we find out the period of this experiment. Then now I draw the graph between length verses period graph for each mass on one graph. While drawing the line between the points, it looks like little curve. Then I square all the values of period and plot the graph again and draw straight like underneath and above of those points. Then I got a slope of line. Then I put the value of slope in equation
