Finding Meaning Joy and Happiness Project Forms Forms for Section 2 of the Finding Meaning, Joy & Happiness Project A. Personal Values My Core Values How This Value Guides My Choices 1 Education Education has been important to me since I was very young my parents have always installed how important education was and how that is one thing that no one can take from you, and ever since then I have valued my education and after undergrad I plan on going to graduate school. 2 Responsibility This value has stuck with me ever since I could work or even before then, I am the oldest of three and I have been very mature at a young age it taught me how to be very responsible while watching my younger siblings and in other things. 3 Hard work I’ve had to work hard for everything that I got nothing was ever handed down to me yes my parents were there and they helped me but I was always told you have to work hard to get what you want, like right now I work and go to school because I am the only one responsible for my bills and the things I want so I work hard. B. Positive/Optimistic Thinking Negative Thought How I might think about this more optimistically? 1 I’ve gained a lot, do I look fat? Instead of worrying about if people think I look fat or stressing myself out about me being fat, I could always work out and think about to the first exercise we did and get into the habit of starting slow and working my way and also eating better or just embracing the way I look.
