Introduction of the Organization Children’s World Peace Organization (CWPO) is a non-profit organization registered in the United States of America as a 501-c-3, a Charitable Trust in Kenya, and a NGO in Nepal. The head office of the organization is located at Warrenton, Virginia. Here in Nepal, its office is located at Boudha. Currently there are about 48 employees whom they call Peace Educators and they are sent different schools to share the skills that enable children to enjoy a more peaceful environment in their schools and communities and, by feeling safer and more secure, empower them to create a more peaceful world. These 48 Peace Educators are teaching in more than 55 schools inside the Kathmandu valley and there are some peace educators teaching their knowledge in the places like Pokhara and Bandipur as well. From CWPO, teams of 2 facilitators/peace educators spend one period a week in each classroom, every week during the school year. Songs and dance are used to reinforce the curriculum and improve connections. They have intensive group trainings and on the job training.
