Unformatted text preview: The Mexican police was very strong in establishing an honest town without crooks. Americans just wanted to get rich, while the Mexicans just were happy with what they had. The Mexicans did not care about the gold and thought it was sand. 3. The treasure was not gold. The treasure was life and having the gift to be alive. Dobbs was a bad person and did deserve the treasure of life. 4. The gold was spilled in an old ruined monastery. Spaniards are for the most part Christian. The monastery could have showed how god did not care for the riches of gold and thought the men should just take what he have, because greed is a sin. Good scene: Dobbs went from being in charge at camp to being a slave of villains. He deserved to die and I was happy he did at the water hole....
