Brain plasticity and behavior influenced by pre and postnatal experience, drugs, hormones, maturation, aging, diet, disease, and stress Understanding how these factors effect the brain help us understand normal and abnormal development The Neuron Parts of the Neuron Dendrites- branch like growths that receive messages Nucleus Axon-carries messages to other cells
