Persuasive Speech HIPAA Regulations Brandon C. Carson Topic: HIPAA Regulations General Purpose: To persuade listeners Specific Purpose: To persuade listeners that HIPAA is a regulatory act that needs to remain implemented for our privacy. Thesis: Although many of us do not know this, there are not many regulations that work to ensure that our records and information remain confidential, which is why we need to keep the acts that are currently in place so our information remains private. INTRODUCTION I. Grab the audience’s attention. A. How many of you have ever been to the doctor’s office before? B. That is what I thought, every one of you. C.
