West to east circulation cells in the tropical latitudes (approximately 30 ° N to 30 ° S) 2. Southern Oscillation (Darwin, Australia and Tahiti, French Polynesia) tied to the intensity of the Walker Circulation. 3. Walker cell circulation increases, so does the Trade Winds and the Australian Low = normal conditions 1
