How do Carter and Wilson define health? “Health is a dynamic status that results from an interaction between hereditary potential, environmental circumstance, and lifestyle selection.” 5. In summary, the current definitions of health emphasize which 2 things? How is mental/intellectual health defined? The capacities to interpret, analyze, and act on information. Also the ability to recognize the sources of influence over personal beliefs and to evaluate their impact on decision making behaviors. 8. Someone with good mental health demonstrates the ability to do what: With good mental health people: Realize their full potential, manage stresses of daily living, work productively, and make meaningful contributions. 9. The emotional domain is represented by what: This domain is represented by the ways in which feelings are expressed. 10. What can an emotionally healthy person do? They can communicate self-management and acceptance and express a full range of feelings in socially acceptable ways. 11. What characterizes social health? Social health is characterized by practicing the requisite skills to navigate home, school, work places, and neighborhoods effectively. 12. What can people with good social health do?
