Nick Discala EN 102 February 24, 2008 Argument Paper Should Euthanasia be Legal? Euthanasia should be legal because it is a very gentle and easy death with many benefits. Euthanasia is “the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals (as persons or domestic animals) in a relatively painless way for reasons of mercy”(Dictionary). Euthanasia should be legal in order to give everyone “the right to die”. Euthanasia is a form of freedom, for the sick and elderly to end life if they desire the need too. Also legalizing Euthanasia would save money for the American healthcare system. This could really be helpful because then the United States could use some of this money saved for other issues that need to be resolved. Some people argue that if Euthanasia becomes legal, it will create a slippery slope, but this claim is also strongly disagreed with by doctors. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
