Jason Zhang CIS Bible Mr. Simmons 10/28/13 Writing Reading and Reflection Ecclesiastes: 1. It is generally misused by readers. And we need to read and understand by the way of associating with other texts in Bible. 2. Christians misunderstand or misinterpret the words in Ecclesiastes. For example, “stay away from the fool”. Fool here does not mean stupid but infidel ---- selfish and honor him or her only. 3. People do not follow the arguments. Proverbs 1. Proverbs are not legal guarantees from God. They are not automatic guarantees. The results will wary. 2. Proverbs must be read as a collection associating with other textures. 3. Proverbs words are to be memorable not be theoretically accurate. They neither are complete truths nor always perfect. 4. Some proverbs need to be “translated.” Some institutions no longer exist, so people need to think about their application to our present lives. Reading Ecclesiastes 9: 7-10 The words here are about the belief that we need to enjoy our lives and have fun
