Ural and Appalachian mountain ranges both are the result of plate tectonics. Both these mountain ranges formed during Paleozoic and were a result of convergent plate tectonics. The development of these mountains was the result of two plates crashed to shape the mountains as it happens, the begin, it was oceanic floor subducting underneath the continental plate which was trailed by landmass and landmass impact. This procedure began by the principal change of detached plate edges in dynamic plate edges. On account of Ural mountains created by Uralian orogeny (250-300 million years prior and kept going 90million years) because of the impact of the eastern edge of the supercontinent Laurussia with the new and rheologically frail mainland of Kazakhstan.
