Harpreet Kaur (21078176)B. Background of Mahathir Mohamad:Dr Mahathir Mohamad was brought into the world on December 20, 1925 in Seberang Perak,Alor Setar, Kedah 1. He was the youngest of nine kids. His dad Mohamad canister Iskandar wasa half Indian beginning, while his mom Wan Tampa wan, was Malay. His family came from anexceptionally humble foundation, as they were not blue-bloods, were they especially slantedstrictly or strategically. As schools were shut during the Japanese control of Malaya in WorldWar, Mahathir got going in private companies. He initially began selling espresso and later wasa peddler of tidbits, mostly pisang gutting (banana squanders).He began his schooling by attending a Malay vernacular school before proceeding with hisschooling at the Sultan Abdul Hamid College in Alor Setar. He proceeded with his review andwent to Medical Study at King Edward College of Medicine in Singapore2. He graduated in 1954from clinical school and began his transporter as a specialist in Penang General Hospital3; in1957, he laid out his centre. In 1964, he was elected as an individual from the United MalaysNational Organization (UMNO ).C. How did he become a leader?Mahathir Mohamad was a specialist before becoming a lawmaker with the UMNO party androse rapidly from the individual from parliament to the head of the state. During his 22 years inoffice, he developed the economy and was a dissident for agricultural countries, yet in addition,he forced unforgiving limitations on everyday freedoms. He surrendered office in 2003.
