Equipment Oven Pan Balance Hot Plate Small-Mouth Graduate Ignition Dish Desiccator Analytical Balance Ammonium Carbonate Solution Methylene Chloride Normal-Propyl Bromide Trichloroethylene Extraction Apparatus Filter Rings Procedure Determine the moisture content Place 650-2500-g test portion into a bowl Cover test portion in Methylene Chloride, Normal-Propyl Bromide or Trichloroethylene Allow test portion to disintegrate Place bowl and solvent in extraction apparatus Dry and determine the mass of the filter ring; fit it around the edge of the bowl Start centrifuge slowly increasing speed to 3600r/min
