Broad's argument (See Pojman's summary, p. 96) 1. There is a good deal of consensus among mystics.  2. Given this consensus, it is reasonable to assume  that their experiences are veridical  unless we have  good reason to believe that they are not . The analogy with sense perception. 1. There are no positive reasons for thinking that  mystical experiences are not veridical.  2. Therefore it is reasonable to believe that mystical  experiences are veridical.
