ABSTRACT
Different business data communication and structure follow different pattern and protocol that
depends on the company and its structure. During this study we will study various factors that are
prevalent in business communication system of the two organizations selected. While the Northern
Sydney Institute is an educational institute with focus on wide range of subjects and population the
Knoah Solutions is a services provider that supports customer services for various companies by
means of back office services designed to help customers, resolve their queries. Our primary aim
from this study is to understand as to how the two are using various communication and coordination
networks and how effective is the technology that has been employed along within the
communication protocol.
INTRODUCTION
For an organization to be effective and productive it must create a communication strategy that helps
disseminate communication with effectiveness. This effectiveness can be in terms of content type,
content format or the reach of the communication network to maximum number of people. For
organizations like Knoah Solutions and Northern Sydney Institute the business model and target
customer group differences are high but they still have commonalities in form of cost effectiveness
communication network requirement. This is primarily due to their need to connect with high
number of customer or end users who not only use company network but are using it for disposal of
business services.
Northern Sydney Institute is a university with educational services that range from graduate level
student to professional candidates who primarily take up education for practical and experiential

learning. With close to 10,000 employees and branches across six units the university has a critical
requirement for strong and reliable communication network. However, Compared to NSI the Knoah
Solutions is a business process outsourcing organization and provides back office support for
customer queries and business solutions. The company mainly receives calls and voice chat request
over its network and has the basic need of congestion free network. Both the companies use high
capacity network and technology however the major driving force for one is its need for knowledge
creation over network while the other requires effective transfer of information for congestion free
services.
