ENGL1034 KC ENGL1034 Language and Prejudice Group Project Instruction Work in a group of no more than 5 students on a language and prejudice topic of your choice. Each group will be given a google site, which comes with a template and instruction. You can see the template and instruction here: After reading week, I will schedule office hours for group consultation. Each group should meet with me at least twice ; you are welcome to schedule more meetings if you wish. For the two compulsory meetings, all members of the group should be present. In the first meeting, we will discuss the library search you have done so far and I will help guide you to develop your research direction and research questions/goals. So each student please come prepared to report your library search finding/reading so far and bring any questions you have to the meeting. Please note tha t first-hand empirical data (such as questionnaire, survey, personal interviews) is OPTIONAL and please consult me before you make decision about collecting data. If you want to collect data, please discuss with me what kind of data to collect, why, how does it strengthen your site, and how you plan to analyse the collected data, what you expect to find, etc.. Your final product should be about 2500 words excluding appendices and references. Please include a word count at the end of your website. Instruction for Group Leaders Make sure you (group leaders) have sent me your google account name (NOT your password! Just your account name aka your gmail address). Once this is done, you will soon get a google site notification email informing you that you are now an owner of the template site . Please follow the steps below to copy a site for your own group. Please do not work on the template site itself . 1. Login to your google account 2. Go to sites.google.com 3. You should see an ENGL1034 link under “my sites”, click into it. (Or alternatively, follow the link from the google site notification email sent to you) 4. Once you are inside the ENGL1034 site, click the top right button “More”, and then select “Manage site”.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
