The following is my recommendation and analysis of her desire to use a WLAN for her at home business. I appreciate you coming to me about your inquiry of starting a WLAN for your new business at your residence. WLAN can be very useful when connecting multiple computers and other useful devices together with relative ease of use. For you to be able to have a reliable and stable WLAN, you will have to purchase Internet Service from a reliable ISP. I would recommend cable Internet from a local cable or communications company. You will then need a modem that will convert your signal from the cable company into a signal that your wireless router can use. This wireless router will have to have both speed and reliability. I would recommend you get a router that allows you to plug in desktop computer into Ethernet ports on the back of the router to limit the wireless traffic for other wireless devices.
