DTH107 Determine Health Assessment 2: Research ReportStep 1Research and Evidence-Based Practice1.1 When undertaking research, you need to clarify the methods you will be using. For this section of thereport, you must address the following points and provide referencing where required 1.1 Rules ofEvidenceThe rules of evidence for evidence based practice for a patient's safety implication are, in first place, takingdown symptoms and practicing the basics as per the patient’s safety. Furthermore, engaging with thepatient’s issue through qualitative or quantitative analysis. Implementing the correct tools for furtherknowledge and accordingly making changes in practice and finally evaluation of the process.1.2 Evidence-based PracticeThe practitioners when combining the best evidence of the research with the values of the patient andclinical skills that results in better patient outcomes can be termed as Evidence based practice (EBP). (Burns& Grove, 2010). The EBP model has three primary components that are appropriate clinically relevantevidence, clinical expertise and the value of the patient.1.3 Research and Continuous ImprovementEvidence based practice is used to make decisions in patient care by using the best clinical evidencegenerally derived from research whereas a research is used to develop or gain in-depth knowledge usingquantitative or qualitative methodology (Brown, 2014) . On the other hand, continuous qualityimprovement is used to continuously enhance patient outcomes by employing methodical approaches.1.4 Research MethodsFollowing are the research methods in diagrams:Fig 1.1.
