Phys 0175 – P. Koehler - Spring 2008 My teaching approach: I expect you to read the assigned text prior to lecture Lectures will not recite information from the textbook; instead, during lectures I will point out and elaborate on the important concepts, illustrate them with demonstrations, and involve the class in active learning exercises with the help of the electronic Student Response System. I hope to wean you from the “plug and chug” method of working problems; instead, by working out illustrative examples in class I will train you in a very methodical and analytical approach
