Definition bullying and teasing Define bullying: Repetitive persistent patterns of conduct by one or more children that deliberately inflict physical, verbal, or emotional abuse on another child Define teasing: Dynamic social interactions comprised of a set of verbal and/or nonverbal behaviors that occur among peers and that is humorous and playful on one level but may be annoying to the target child on another level. How is teasing related to bullying? Teasing is a gateway behavior, increased teasing can lead to bullying based on the response of the victim How is male bullying different from female bullying?
